Saudi Arabia is planning to show how alarmed the nation is by Americans who are tired of paying oil conglomerates and foreign nations money out of their pockets.
On Sunday, June 22, the Kingdom is hosting a conferenceto discuss finding a solution to towering gas prices in America and across the globe. Although most experts don’t expect any real results from this meeting, it highlights how much money Americans feed to foreign nations for our oil. Whether politicians will admit that oil creates a dependence on outside sources and decreases our independence as a nation or not, Saudi Arabia is willing to admit it.
This conference comes on the heels of a report that suggests that global oil consumption is decreasing for the first time since 1993. Maybe something good can come out of absurd oil prices after all.
