Chevrol CEO David O’Reilly appeared on “The Situation Room” with Wolf Blitzer yesterday to answer the question every American wants an answer to: Why are you getting richer instead of poorer like us?

Unfortunately, O’Reilly decided it best to feed us the same baloney he and his money-hungry cronies have been giving us for years.  “We’re investing those record profits,” he said when questioned about his companies $18.7 billion 2007 profit.  For those interested, $18.7 billion is more than enough to provide wind energy to completely fuel 1,308,051 American homes using current technology.

Environmentalists are making headway in preventing America from becoming even more dependant on foreign energy.

The Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council, two groups fighting to prevent the expansion of oil drilling and coal burning, succeeded in blocking ConocoPhillips from expanding a oil processing plant.  The plant, located in Roxana, IL, has been used by the oil conglomerate to process Canadian oil for use by Americans.  By stopping the deal, greenies have avoided ConocoPhilllips from sending even more of the money we pay for our energy to the Canadian government.
